Fixed credit packs made occasional usage harder than it needed to be. You either bought more than you wanted, or waited until the next monthly reset.
Search1API credits now work as a prepaid balance. Top up any amount from $5 to $2,000, keep those credits until you use them, and optionally turn on auto top-up so production traffic does not stop at zero.
Pay for the usage you actually have
The base rate is $1 = 1,000 credits. Larger top-ups receive a bonus on the whole amount:
- $19 or more: +5%
- $99 or more: +20%
- $499 or more: +60%
A $19 top-up adds 19,950 credits. A $99 top-up adds 118,800. Top-up credits never expire. If the account also has a subscription, Search1API still spends the monthly allowance first.
Start from the pricing page or from the dashboard.
Keep production traffic running
Auto top-up is optional and off by default. In the dashboard, set a credit threshold, a top-up amount, and a card. Search1API charges that amount only after the combined available subscription and top-up credits fall below the threshold.
Automatic refills use the same bonus tiers as a manual top-up. Saving the rule does not charge the card. Automatic top-ups are capped at three charges in any 24-hour window, and the feature turns itself off after three consecutive payment failures.
If auto top-up is enabled and can still run, Search1API skips the generic low-balance email. A failed charge sends its own notice.
What stays the same
Subscriptions are unchanged. New accounts still receive 100 free credits with no credit card. Request costs, rate limits, and the 402 Payment Required response are the same as before.
